Broccoli Cheese Casserole

Well, we finally found a recipe my daughter likes! It must be the cheez-whiz!

Weenie's Broccoli Cheese Casserole:


2 cups cooked rice

2 tbsp. butter

1 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 soup can of milk

1 small jar cheez-whiz

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped celery

Salt & pepper to taste


While broccoli is thawing in one cup water that has been brought to a boil, saute onions and celery in butter. Add soup and milk to onions and celery, then add cheez-whiz. Simmer a minute. Then add thawed and drained broccoli, rice and seasoning. Bake 30-40 minutes at 350.

Makes 10 generous servings and can be made ahead of time.
