Just in time for Thanksgiving! Here is Weenie’s Cornbread Dressing recipe! I know I’m biased, but you can’t beat it!!
Weenie’s Cornbread Dressing:
4 cups dry bread crumbs
4 cups crumbled cornbread
Salt, pepper & sage to taste (I used 1 tsp of each)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/3 cup margarine
3 cups hot chicken or Turkey broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
In a large mixing bowl, combine breads, salt, pepper and sage. Sauté onion and celery in margarine. Add broth. Pour over crumb mixture in bowl. Stir. Add cream of chicken soup. Add more broth if necessary. Mixture should be soupy. Spoon into greased 3-quart or 9x12 pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
